CHICAGO SALON
My morning routine is always the same. Look in the mirror, pluck some stray eyebrows, put on too much mascara, wash my face, put it back on, and yet again wash my face. I have trouble deciding what looks good and what looks trashy. I usually end up taking about an hour to just put my makeup on. I have to admit I am very vain about what I look like. I believe I have every right to be. In today’s society, especially in the city of Chicago, looks are everything. If you are not put together perfectly you are looked down upon. If one stray hair is out of place it could ruin your career. I am striving to be the perfect Chicago woman, especially now that I have my hair restoration completed. Suggestion to all women, research your stylist before you let them touch your hair. What a tragedy! What I thought was the best stylist in Chicago turned out to be my worst nightmare. He colored, highlighted and permed my hair all in one visit. I needed the best of the best, and as a true Chicagoan I could not wait to have it all. I wanted to be the brightest blonde in the city with the best low lights possible. I wanted the curly voluminous hair that so many women in the city have. I walked into my Gold Coast high-rise apartment and looked into my bathroom mirror. I loved what I saw. I was beautiful. Then I ran my fingers through my now blonde curly locks only to find them in my hand after I removed it from my scalp. All of my hair fell out. Never again will I get any type of dye job or perm.
