VACATION IN COLORADO
Who would have thought that turning the wrong way in a hotel hallway in the hotel would lead to a body cast and a seemingly never ending search for a personal injury attorney in Colorado. I didn't. We were on vacation in Colorado. I spent a week in ICU and then three weeks in the hospital and another month in rehab. Tara had to go home and back to work, of course, and I was out here on my own. I wasn't able to travel, or I would have gone home after being released from the hospital. I wasn't to travel by air or by car or even by train. I was stuck. After my rehab sessions I started looking for an attorney. I tried the local bar association first and got several names. I talked to them all over the phone and narrowed it down to two that I wanted to talk with. The first lawyer was on the other side of town. They at first wanted me to go to them, but after I explained the situation he agreed to come out to see me. He was a tall man, almost 7 feet tall. He had to bend over coming through my rehab room door. He sat in a chair, which looked way too small, and talked over my situation.
